ALL-IN Faroe Islands Tour + Scandinavia’s Newest 3 Star Kadeau September 3rd – 6th 2026 (Limited to 12 guests)

Duration :   4 Days 3 Nights
Price From :    £3,995.00
Start Location:   Copenhagen

I am thrilled to announce that by popular demand we are now offering a second Faroe Islands Tour in September 2026.

When I visited the islands recently, I realised that the combination of incredible food, dramatic scenery, and deep local culture was simply too special not to share. Over four unforgettable days, 12 lucky guests will join me for an immersive, all-in culinary journey through this extraordinary destination.

Together, we’ll explore the very best of Faroese gastronomy:

Restaurant Ræst, where chef Sebastian Jiménez weaves his Mexican roots into the islands’ traditional fermentation techniques, and where Karin Visth has just been awarded the Special Service Award by Denmark’s White Guide — the same guide that named Ræst one of the country’s best restaurants.

Restaurant Paz, where former Koks chef Poul Andrias Ziska has already earned a well-deserved two Michelin stars in record time.

Restaurant Áarstova, famed for its traditional Faroese lamb and seafood, served in a beautifully restored historic house in the heart of Tórshavn.

The tour also includes a truly unique Skerpi Experience — an intimate lunch beside a calm fjord where seafood is lifted directly from the water, prepared moments later, and served in a small wooden hut that perfectly captures the purity and simplicity of Faroese cooking.

One of the most magical moments of the tour will be an open-fire breakfast in the kitchen gardens of Restaurant Ræst, set right on the edge of the sea. As the fire crackles, we’ll gather overlooking a sweeping stretch of coastline, surrounded by the same herbs and plants used in Ræst’s fermentation-driven cooking. With the scent of smoke in the air and waves rolling in beneath us, this simple, elemental breakfast becomes something unforgettable — a rare chance to experience Faroese produce, landscape, and tradition in their purest form.

To elevate the journey even further, we’ll head out on a boat adventure to Hestur–Klæmintsgjógv, exploring sea cliffs, hidden grottoes, and one of the most impressive sea caverns in the North Atlantic.

We’ll also hike the iconic Trælanípa trail, finishing at the spectacular lake-over-ocean viewpoint and the dramatic waterfall that plunges straight into the Atlantic — one of the Faroe Islands’ most breathtaking natural sights.

We’ll stay at the stunning Hotel Føroyar, where every guest enjoys a sea-view room and full access to the hotel’s serene Ress Spa — the perfect place to unwind each day.

There is also an option to join us the night before we fly to the Faroes at Scandinavia’s newest three star restaurant Kadeau in Copenhagen at an additional cost of just 550 GBP

Restaurant Ræst – The Art of Fermentation, Reimagined

Tucked away in one of Tórshavn’s oldest timber houses, Ræst is a restaurant that tells the story of the Faroe Islands through time-honoured preservation techniques and bold global influence. The name means fermented, and that’s exactly where chef Sebastian Jiménez begins — with ancient Nordic fermentation traditions transformed by his Mexican heritage. The result is something truly unique: dishes that hum with depth and umami, yet surprise with brightness and cultural contrast.
At the front of house, Karin Visth, recently nominated for the Special Service Award by Denmark’s White Guide, brings warmth, precision and personality to every service — all while the restaurant itself was nominated as one of the best in Denmark by the same guide. Dining here feels intimate, intelligent, and entirely unforgettable — a love letter to Faroese terroir filtered through two distinct worlds.

⭐️⭐️ Restaurant Paz – A New Chapter for Poul Andrias Ziska

When Poul Andrias Ziska, former head chef of Koks, announced he was opening Paz, the anticipation across the Nordic culinary world was palpable. And within months of opening, that excitement proved justified — Paz was awarded two Michelin stars, a meteoric achievement that speaks to both Ziska’s precision and his deep understanding of the Faroese landscape.
Here, the cooking feels modern yet elemental: ingredients foraged from wind-beaten cliffs and icy waters are elevated into dishes that balance intensity and restraint. There’s an unmistakable sense of place — smoke, sea, and moss — but it’s presented with the grace and lightness of a chef entirely in command of his craft. For guests of Achefabroad, dining at Paz isn’t just a meal; it’s a front-row seat to the evolution of New Nordic cuisine in one of its purest environments.

Áarstova – Tradition, Hearth, and Faroese Soul

In the heart of Tórshavn lies Áarstova, a restaurant that embodies the Faroese spirit more than any other. Set within a centuries-old turf-roofed house, its wooden beams and candlelight create a sense of stepping into another time — one where hospitality was personal and food was born of the land and sea.
The menu celebrates classic Faroese flavours — think slow-braised lamb, local fish, and seasonal seafood — dishes that speak of endurance, comfort, and pride in heritage. What makes Áarstova truly special is the balance it strikes between authenticity and finesse: every plate feels rooted in history yet refined for today’s table. It’s the perfect contrast to the modernity of Paz and the creativity of Ræst, rounding out the tour with a sense of place, warmth, and tradition.

Hotel Føroyar – Where the Sky Meets the Sea

Perched on a grassy hillside overlooking the tiny capital of Tórshavn, Hotel Føroyar feels less like a hotel and more like a quiet conversation with the Faroese landscape itself. From every room, the view unfolds like a painting — turf-roofed houses scattered below, the harbour beyond, and the endless North Atlantic stretching into mist.

Designed by the celebrated architects Friis & Moltke, the building seems to grow naturally from the earth, its grass-covered roof blending seamlessly into the hillside. Inside, the atmosphere is calm and minimal, filled with soft light, tactile natural materials, and just enough Nordic restraint to let the scenery do the talking.

Guests on the Achefabroad Faroe Islands Tour stay in Sea-View Rooms, each with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame that mesmerising horizon. It’s the perfect place to exhale between each day’s restaurant experiences — a balance of luxury, nature, and serenity that mirrors the islands themselves.

And when it’s time to unwind further, the hotel’s Ress Spa awaits. A sanctuary of warmth and stillness, it features heated pools, sauna, steam, and tailored wellness treatments inspired by the local environment. Whether you prefer a quiet morning swim or a post-dinner soak watching the light fade over the fjord, it’s an experience that completes the sense of immersion this tour is built around.

The Skerpi Experience – Seafood in Its Purest Form

Set beside a serene fjord where the water barely ripples, the Skerpi Experience offers an extraordinary glimpse into Faroese life at its most elemental. Created by the team behind Restaurant Ræst, this intimate lunch takes place in a small wooden hut by the pier — part larder, part dining room — where fishermen arrive with their catch still alive in cages suspended in the cold, clear water.

Here, there is no rush, no distance between source and plate. The seafood is lifted straight from the fjord, prepared moments later, and served with the kind of quiet reverence that defines Faroese food culture. It’s not a performance — it’s simply how things are done here. The flavours are clean, briny, and profoundly fresh, shaped entirely by the surrounding sea and the hands that harvest it.

For guests on this Achefabroad tour, it’s a rare chance to experience true Nordic minimalism — sea-to-table in its most honest, unembellished form — and a lunch that lingers long after the final bite.

Boat tour to Hestur–Klæmintsgjógv

Our adventure continues with an exhilarating boat tour to Hestur–Klæmintsgjógv with the outstanding team at RIB62, specialists in high-speed coastal exploration. Skimming across the North Atlantic on their rigid inflatable boat, we’ll approach towering basalt cliffs, bird-filled ledges, and the vast sea cave of Klæmintsgjógv — one of the most dramatic natural formations in the Faroe Islands. The combination of roaring ocean, thundering echoes inside the grotto, and the sheer scale of the landscape makes this an unforgettable experience, offering a perspective of the islands that only a RIB tour can deliver.

A guided hike to Trælanípa and the waterfall

We’ll also set out on a guided hike to Trælanípa, one of the Faroe Islands’ most iconic natural viewpoints. This scenic trail leads us along the edge of Sørvágsvatn — the lake that appears to hover above the ocean — before reaching the dramatic cliff where the waterfall Bøsdalafossur plunges straight into the Atlantic below. With sweeping panoramas, sea birds circling overhead, and waves crashing against the rocks far beneath us, this hike captures the raw, untamed beauty of the Faroes. It’s a breathtaking experience that blends gentle adventure with some of the most striking scenery in the North Atlantic.

Open-fire breakfast

One of the most memorable moments of the tour will be an open-fire breakfast set in the kitchen gardens of Restaurant Ræst, right on the shores of the sea. As the morning light rises over the water, we’ll gather beside the crackling fire, surrounded by the herbs, wild plants, and foraged ingredients that shape Ræst’s distinctive cuisine. With the scent of smoke drifting across the garden and waves rolling in below, this intimate, elemental breakfast offers a rare chance to experience Faroese produce and landscape in perfect harmony — simple, soulful, and utterly unforgettable.
